History
MODOS Dance Company was founded in 2017 in Chicago by Rodney Simpson, M.A., R-DMT. The organization's was grounded in the belief that movement is an integral piece of every culture’s foundation, making it inseparable from the way people connect with themselves, others, and the world around them. Through experiences with dance in many countries all around the world, Rodney had a desire to bring global, culturally rich, and holistic dance opportunities to the community. Thus MODOS, meaning "the way" in Portuguese, was born. Since its inception, MODOS has co-created with 20+ community partners.
